Situated on the site where the new Central Warehouse and Head Office of Engine Australia are to be built, the workshop was opened in 2001. Initially it was used to dismantle and recover diesel engine components that, following stringent tests, could be sold as quality second-hand parts. Now the workshop is sufficiently equipped to measure and test late model engine components for materials and manufacturing quality and sizing for comparisons with aftermarket products. Consequently, Engine Australia regularly consults with manufacturers regarding the quality and specifications of diesel engine components.
