ACL RACE Series Performance Engine Bearings and ACL Duraglide Engine
Bearings for diesel engines are Copper-Lead tri-metal bearings. It is
common for late model RV & 4WD diesel engines to run smaller bearing
clearances and very light grade oils – many use 0W30 or 5W30 oils. These
light-weight oils can often come up short in extreme operating conditions –
extended extreme loads (towing), very hot engine oil temperatures (4WD),
increased bearing clearance due to bearing or journal wear, high
horsepower/high performance engines etc.
Engine Australia recommends ACL RACE Series Performance Engine
Bearings as the engine bearings of choice for high horsepower, high torque
and high performance diesel engines. They are the only engine bearings
used in the Diesel Performance Engines drag ute engines.
ACL recommends using 10W40 or 15W40 weight engine oils if ACL tri
metal engine bearings are used in a diesel engine build. This is highly
recommended when using ACL RACE Series Performance Engine Bearings
in high performance diesel engine applications.
