ARP8740 1/2" Performance cylinder head stud, washer and nut set to suit Toyota 1HZ, 1HZ-T, 1HD-T series. These studs are 1/2" UNC to the block and will require the head bolt holes be drilled and tapped to suit. This will help gain the increased head clamping required in performance applications. They will achieve a more evenly distributed and accurate torque load compared to that of head bolts by eliminating the twisting force created during tightening.  This ultimately translates into higher reliability and a lower chance of head gasket failure.

Final torque of 170 N.m (125 Ft.lbs) will deliver 75% of the fasteners yield strength as clamping load (8416 kg/18515 lbs).  This is an increase of 68% clamping load over OE head bolts.
